Real Madrid were, after a very long time, really fun to watch during the win over Sevilla on Sunday night. A 4-1 triumph showed a dominant side of this Real Madrid team that fans have not seen in quite some time, and it was a good sight.

Real Madrid were able to play quite well, and a lot of it was down to the way Bellingham and Guler featured, as everything in their attack went through the two players. Guler was on another level with his consistent passing range, as well as the brilliant goal he scored, while the Englishman was linking up all three phases of play quite nicely, and despite not scoring a goal, was consistently dominating the small battles during the match.

It was great to see, as Bellingham and Guler have rarely had great games together. They both occupy a similar position on the pitch, despite the two providing different types of services to this Real Madrid team.

Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler can finally work well together

Jose Mourinho has finally worked out a way to keep them both performing consistently for Real Madrid - not just in terms of their positioning, but also the role that they had against Sevilla.

Both Guler and Bellingham went forward at many points during the match, but one of the two seemed to stay a bit further back to provide some interchangability. Whenever Bellingham provided more in the build-up play, it was Guler who drifted into space in the attack, and vice versa.

Bellingham also had his fair share of moves in the attack, during which Guler was either alongside him or just behind to provide support to the midfield. Both of these players were given the freedom to be themselves on the pitch, but it came with some tactical adjustments so that the defensive side of this midfield does not falter.

And it didn't. Both of these players did exactly what they are supposed to do, just by turn. It worked seamlessly, and even though there will be times when it proves to be difficult, the blueprint for Mourinho is there.

Real Madrid need Guler's creativity and Bellingham's all-roundedness on full display if they are going to achieve anything this season. These two are Real Madrid's best midfielders by some distance, and it is imperative that both of them start every big game from now on.

Guler is not effective consistently from the wing, which is why it is much better for the player to start deep and have Bellingham provide him with some support whenever he decides to go forward.
