If one thing is consistent with Real Madrid across the past few seasons, it's being bitten by the injury bug.

Dating back to the 2020/21 season, every season has had at least one major player in the team go down with a serious injury, which has a major impact on the team.

In just the last two years alone we've seen a number of players go down with ACL injuries as well as an assortment of other injuries and be sidelined for months and months.

However, one player has been playing through a serious injury for close to two years, but it has finally caught up with him.

Jude Bellingham's shoulder injury has finally gotten to the point where it needed to be fixed this summer, and the timeline for his recovery may suck the wind out of fans just days before the new season is about to begin.

Jude Bellingham's return date deals a blow to fan moral ahead of 25/26 season

As being reported by AS, Jude Bellingham is expected to be out until the end of October due to the delicate nature of the recovery of his shoulder operation.

The club plans to take no risks with the 22-year-old so he doesn't run into any setbacks during his recovery.

Bellingham suffered his shoulder injury in the latter half of the 23/24 season and has been playing through the pain for the last year and a half, but the club finally decided this summer was the time for him to get his shoulder fixed.

The midfielder is now expected to miss at least the first two months of the season recovering which puts Xabi Alonso in a tough situation to fill the void left with his absence.

Arda Guler is the player most expected likely to fill Bellingham's role, which thankfully for the club and for the fans, Guler is almost the perfect replacement for the injured star.
