Keep, sell or loan? Grading the Real Madrid squad for the summer transfer window

Vinicius Jr - Keep: Is that even a question? Vinicius is the team's face, along with Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid can create a team around him if necessary, as he is nothing short of a Galactico. Over the years, he has emerged as the most important forward, so keeping him is a given. At this point, I'd also like to point out that the criticism he's received during the season makes little sense in this context. He has only performed below his own expectations. And it was a collective team failure that cannot be attributed to Vinicius alone. Under Xabi Alonso, Vinicius will compete for the Ballon d'Or once more the next season.

Kylian Mbappe - Keep: Another given. Mbappe is the franchise player that Real Madrid have been pursuing for slightly less than a decade. He was always Florentino Perez's ambition, and despite a slow start in his debut season, he went on to win the European Golden Boot and break his hero Cristiano Ronaldo's records. Along with Vinicius, he is the most significant player on this team. An easy keep.

Rodrygo Goes - Sell: Rodrygo has not been doing well lately. I'm not sure how he'll be in the future either. It has been increasingly clear that he performs best on the left, yet the left is not vacant for him. He will never receive his preferred position as long as Vinicius is here, and if he fails to deliver results from other sides, he will be forced to leave. Harsh, but accurate.

Endrick - Loan: I believe it is beneficial for both Real Madrid and the player if he goes on loan to a team that will guarantee him regular minutes. Let me emphasize that Real Madrid have tremendous faith in him, but providing him regular minutes right now is not an option. He is a future asset, but he must develop elsewhere first. A solid loan can significantly improve his form and development.

Brahim - Sell: Brahim is not good; we need to have that conversation right now. He is unpredictable and unreliable. His consistency is up in the air, and he is on par with Rodrygo. Let me tell you, minutes are not an issue. He has made across all competitions, scoring 6 goals and assisting 7 times. That tells us something alarming. Xabi Alonso was previously reported to have been looking for a more complete striker, and the departures of Brahim and Rodrygo can make space for that.
