Real Madrid have had injury issues all season long. Actually, it has been a problem since the 2020-21 season. Every season, Real Madrid struggle with these injuries, only this time, it has been more problematic.

There have been so many injuries when you least expect it - Real Madrid struggle to have a fully-fit team for long.

There are a couple of players who are coming back, but the general consensus is that Real Madrid have had bad luck.

Thibaut Courtois out for Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad in Copa Del Rey semi-final on Tuesday

Their most recent injury was to Thibaut Courtois, who got hurt during the latest international break. This was his first international break for a while now, and he got injured playing against his Real Madrid compatriot Andriy Lunin.

He was only supposed to miss a few days of training, but Courtois ended up missing the match against Leganes on the weekend. Now, Real Madrid have not included him in the squad list for their Copa Del Rey match against Real Sociedad on Tuesday either.

To be very honest, Courtois would not have played the game anyway as Lunin has started every single Copa Del Rey match for Real Madrid this season, and it probably gives him longer to recover from the injury before they face Valencia on the weekend.

However, it is still a topic of discussion as he has not made the matchday squad for the second game running.

Hopefully he is able to come back for Valencia and the games after, as Real Madrid will enter a very important stretch of their season. They will face Arsenal shortly, and Carlo Ancelotti will hope that he recovers in time for that Champions League quarter final tie.

Courtois missed almost the entirety of last season to injury, but has come back well this season and is still comfortably the best goalkeeper in the world. His services in any game would be missed.
