The FIFA World Cup is just around the corner, and football fans are buzzing with excitement. It is always a dream for players to represent their nation in this competition, which is inarguably the biggest international football tournament.
In the last two editions of the World Cup, Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe has left a lasting mark with his performances, and he will surely look to do the same in the upcoming one as well. In fact, Andres Onrubia Ramos has revealed that recently the Frenchman addressed questions regarding his World Cup preparation, to which he replied: “This is NOT a debate. I’ve played two World Cups, I won one, and I reaches the final in the other”. “How did I prepare? By playing ALL matches with my club”
There were rumours that Mbappe might decide to cut back on his playing time at Real in the ongoing season to stay fit for the World Cup. Fortunately, Mbappe’s recent comments have clearly put those concerns to rest, and Real fans will really appreciate the French forward’s commitment to his club.
Kylian Mbappe’s World Cup plan will be music to Real Madrid fans’ ears
Mbappe has been an instrumental part of Real since his arrival. And even more so this season, with 38 goals and six assists already in all competitions. Unsurprisingly, he is currently the top scorer in both La Liga and the Champions League.
Mbappe was recently out with a knee injury and missed some important Champions League matches against Benfica and the first leg against Manchester City in the round of 16. Thankfully, the 27-year-old seems to have shaken off the issue and is back on the field.
That said, Real are not rushing his recovery, and rightly so, as the most crucial matchups of the campaign are still to come. Meanwhile, Vinicius Junior has successfully stepped up in the absence of Mbappe. It will be interesting to see the duo link up, with both of them back in form now.
Real Madrid need Kylian Mbappe for a chance at Champions League glory this season
Real face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals. The Bundesliga giants have lately been on a rampage, handing heavy losses to some of the prominent teams in Europe.
So, needless to say, Real will need to have their best player this season, Mbappe, on the pitch. The Frenchman, along with Vinicius, will certainly pose a challenge for the Bayern defenders.
Anyway, Real have been on an upward trajectory recently and will look to continue on that path. On top of that, Mbappe’s assurance comes as an added bonus. All that remains is to see if they can deliver when it matters most.
