Real Madrid have a number of players in the squad who's futures they are still trying to make a decision on.

When it comes to players like Raul Asencio, Dani Ceballos, Fran Garcia, and Brahim Diaz, and maybe even Eduardo Camavinga, the club is still trying to decide whether their future is at the Bernabeu next season or elsewhere.

There is one other player who seems closer to the exit door, who could end up joining a La Liga rival, and he is a player the should think twice about letting go so easily.

As being reported by Jorge Picon via theMadridZone on X, Real Sociedad are said to be 'very interested' in signing Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Garcia this summer.

Rumors around the strikers future have been swirling for a few months now with him looking closer to the exit door and as a result a number of teams have shown interest in signing Gonzalo, with Sociedad being the latest to join the list.

Gonzalo Garcia could be on the move within La Liga

Gonzalo was far and away Real Madrid's breakout star last season, bursting onto the scene during last summer's Club World Cup where he managed to grab four goals and one assist in five matches to take home the tournament golden boot.

Although it was always going to be hard for him to become a regular starter, he showed that he is capable of being a difference maker when given the opportunity and that's exactly what Xabi Alonso did.

The 22-year-old was a regular substitute under Xabi Alonso and bagged five goals and two assists during the Spaniard's time in charge, including a sensational hat-trick against Real Betis.

Unfortunately for Gonzalo, his playing time took a massive hit once Alvaro Arbeloa took over, which had a major impact on his production as he only grabbed a further three goals and one assist after Xabi Alonso's sacking.

With the prospect on Endrick returning in the summer there will be a major overload in the attack and players will have to be sacrificed, and it seems Gonzalo may be that player. A number of clubs are already showing interest in the striker with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, and Como all linked with the striker. However, now the prospect of joining a La Liga rival could be on the table for Gonzalo.

How exactly a deal for the player would be composed remains unknown with some believing he could just get loaned out for a season. Others think Real could follow the Nico Paz formula and sell him, but retain a buy-back clause as he progress as a player, returning to the Bernabeu when the time is right.
