Real Madrid players are some of the best in the world, and there is no surprise if top teams want to sign them. Real Madrid have been classy in the sense that they do not stand in the way if a player wants to leave, but most of the time, the players just want to make history at the club.
Real Madrid have been signing some brilliant young players for a few years now, and because of that, they have a brilliant squad with supremely talented individuals.
One of those players is Eduardo Camavinga, who, although has not had the best of seasons, is still incredibly talented and is one of the most gifted players that the club has right now.
According to Sky's Florian Plettenberg, Manchester City are interested in the French midfielder. They are actively monitoring the player and they are not the only club interested in him.
According to the journalist, Camavinga's agency, CAA Stellar, has good ties with Manchester City, and it is the same agency that helped facilitate Omar Marmoush's transfer to the Premier League earlier this year.
The journalist also says that Camavinga has yet to decide whether he actually wants to even leave the club at the end of the season.
If it were up to Real Madrid, they would simply not entertain this offer. I think Camavinga is valued and rated very highly at the club, and they realise just how good he can be in the future. After all, the Frenchman is still only 22 years old.
It will depend on whether Camavinga himself wants to leave, because that is when Real Madrid will step aside to let the player do what he wants to do. But, if he wants to stay, nothing will come of this.
Camavinga does have a lot to improve on, as he has been out of form this season and has fallen a bit further down the pecking order. The talent is very much there, though, and with some continuity and proper fitness, he could return to the level he was at last season.
Camavinga is easily one of the best young midfielders in the world, it is just a matter of time until he takes that jump to become one of the best midfielders, regardless of age. It is all about consistency and growth, which is exactly why Real Madrid would not want to let him go if this was up to them.
It is worth noting that if Camavinga does not improve as much, and he does not play as much as he would like, he might look for a move. It is a delicate situation which would require a lot of things to land before something significant takes place. All of this is an opinion, of course, but this is one to watch out for.
