Real Madrid fans knew what they were getting when it was announced that Kylian Mbappe will sign for the biggest club in the world, after years of back and forth.

Real Madrid have been blessed with an almost unbeatable attack, with Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo on either side of the Frenchman, and it usually leads to a goalfest.

However, it used to be worse. Kylian Mbappe went through a lot in his first few months at the club, overthinking his decisions and failing to make an impact on most of the games he played. However, things started clicking, and now, we have started seeing the Mbappe of old.

Funny thing is, even though everyone calls him a failure at Madrid, or a flop, or that he is having a bad season, he has still broken a goalscoring record in his first season at the club.

Even in a 'bad' season, Kylian Mbappe is a record-breaker

According to Stats Foot, Mbappe became the first French player to score at least 29 goals in his first season at a club in the top four leagues, after he gave Los Blancos the lead against Rayo Vallecano. We're only in March. Honestly, someone needs to make a movie about it.

Everyone gave Mbappe so much slack when he was not performing to everyone's standards, and rightly so, but people kept giving it to him even when he started playing like himself. The result? Well, 29 goals, and a lot more to come in subsequent games.

This list includes every single French player who has ever played in a top-four league for at least one season. It includes Karim Benzema when he first joined Real Madrid, or Thierry Henry when he joined Arsenal.

It takes a while for everyone to settle in, but while doing that, Mbappe has still managed to break a record, with a lot more to come. Just keep watching, and keep fueling the fire that forces Mbappe to become the biggest heart-breaker in world football.
