Nico Paz is working hard at Como and is fully dedicated to the Cesc Fabregas project. His possible return to Real Madrid this summer was in the air a few months ago, but it was later decided that the Argentine should stay another year for his own good.
Paz has seen a brilliant trajectory of success at Como and has also been called up to the Argentina national team. Things are looking good and moving upward for the youngster, and it is only a matter of time before Real Madrid will want to bring him back.
Amidst that, Paz spoke to the media about the possibility of a Real Madrid return.
Nico Paz talks about a possible Real Madrid return
According to Diario AS, Nico Paz does not rule out a Real Madrid comeback. In fact, from the way he speaks, he seems rather excited about the idea of wearing white again.
He said, “You never know. Maybe one day I’ll return to Real Madrid. I have no idea what the future holds. I don’t even know what I’ll do tomorrow.”
It seems to be an unspoken understanding that Madrid want Nico Paz to thrive at Como for another season or two so that he can return as an undisputed starter.
As of now, there may not be a regular starting position for him in the already stacked midfield but over the years, he might get better chance to be there.
There are no doubts that Los Blancos highly rate the midfielder, which is also why they did not let Como buy the 50 percent rights to the player that Madrid still hold.
Not to mention, Real Madrid have a smart buy-back clause in his contract with Como that will allow them to re-sign Paz for 9 million in 2026 or 10 million in 2027, irrespective of his market value at the time.
That is classic Real Madrid business. They continue to insert buy-back, sell-on, and right-of-refusal clauses in the contracts of important Castilla players to ensure they do not miss out if those players become too good.
