But already, Real Madrid are being stymied. Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl addressed the already bubbling Olise transfer rumors by flatly saying that there is "no chance" the Bavarian giants let the French superstar go.
Eberl said to Kerry Hau of Sky Sports Germany in a sit down interview, as captured by Fabrizio Romano, “Olise to Real Madrid? No, quite simply no… no chance. We have a long-term project, Michael feels very comfortable here."
Even a transfer record fee may not be enough to pry Michael Olise out of Bayern Munich, because no amount of money will match how valuable the 24 year old Ballon d'Or sleeper is to the Bavarians. He unlocks the whole team with his vision, intelligence, technical quality, dribbling skills, explosiveness, smoothness, and shooting ability. The man literally has it all as a secondary scoring option and a primary wide creator for the best striker in the world, Harry Kane.
Bayern Munich are the best team in Europe right now, and they partially proved it by beating Real Madrid 2-1 on Tuesday night. So obviously, why would they even entertain selling Olise to their biggest European rivals and flip the script worse than they did with that Toni Kroos transfer?
But don't take rejection as the final word. PSG said they would never let Kylian Mbappe go to Real Madrid. He eventually left for free. Florentino Perez got Luis Figo to switch from Barcelona. He will just take Eberl's comments as a new challenge.
