One of two young stars is being pushed out by Real Madrid

Real Madrid stand before a dilemma between Gonzalo Garcia and Endrick, two strikers who both see themselves as part of the club’s future. Until a few years ago, Endrick was the sole option Real Madrid were fixated on, but the rise of Gonzalo has turned everything upside down.

Real Madrid now find themselves in a state of deep deliberation. The brilliance Garcia has shown is too striking to ignore. They know that letting him go could come at a high cost, especially at a time when Endrick has yet to prove himself.

According to Diario AS, Real Madrid have made the decision that only one of Gonzalo Garcia or Endrick can stay at the club, both cannot.

Real Madrid will only keep one of Endrick or Gonzalo Garcia

According to the report, Los Blancos consider it a wasteful endeavor to keep a young third-choice striker who would clearly not receive enough minutes, which are crucial for his development.

The situation becomes more complicated knowing that Endrick has ruled out all options of an exit, even a loan. In all honesty, I think it will be Endrick who ends up facing the axe, if the club truly decide to retain only one.

Gonzalo is a lethal striker who made an immediate impact. Winning the Club World Cup Golden Boot as an academy player is no small achievement, and Xabi Alonso clearly values that.

Of course, Real Madrid are yet to decide who will make way, but I don’t think it would be wise to let Gonzalo go.

The best option would be to send Endrick on loan to a top club where he can earn valuable minutes, then reevaluate his status at the end of the season. But the player’s refusal to even consider that option puts Madrid in a difficult position.

The players return to training on August 4, although Endrick won’t be able to join them for a few more weeks due to his ongoing recovery from injury.
