Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has gotten the best out of many players over his illustrious managerial career. However, one player who is seemingly having his breakthrough in Europe often goes overlooked when it comes to his relationship with Carlo Ancelotti and that player is Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton.
The 21-year-old English defender has been one of the best performers in the Premier League this season, which is a huge compliment given the amount of quality which the English top flight possesses.
For Everton, Branthwaite has been the standout performer and he is a key reason why the Toffees might stay up, despite receiving a points deduction earlier in the campaign. Certainly, he is their diamond in the rough but how is his relationship with Carlo Ancelotti relevant?
Well, it was actually Ancelotti who granted Branthwaite his senior debut with Everton. The former Everton boss clearly saw something in Branthwaite to trust him in the first team at such a young age and throughout his time at Real Madrid, Ancelotti has remained a big fan of him - Understandably so.

Towards the end of the last month, The Real Champs revealed that Real Madrid were interested in signing Jarrad Branthwaite but they would face competition from Manchester United who are also in the race.
In a new update published by 90min, Jarrad Branthwaite himself has reacted to the Real Madrid transfer links. The report states that Branthwaite refuses to comment, or even think about any transfer links which link him away from Everton.
Of course, the bottom of the Premier League table is just as tightly contested as the top of the table. Therefore, his priorities are understandably elsewhere.
In his own words, Branthwaite said: "You have just got to block it all out. I think if you focus on the outside stuff, you get distracted from what you need to do on the pitch. For me now, until the end of the season, I am just focussed on winning games for Everton Football Club."
Real Madrid will understand this. Carlo Ancelotti knows better than most how much Branthwaite loves Everton, so he will have at least one final goal on his mind, to secure their place in the Premier League next season. Whether or not Branthwaite plays in the Premier League next season remains to be seen.
