Real Madrid have had their fair share of injuries this season and the team actually deserves a lot of credit for how well they have done despite being put in challenging circumstances, with key players missing constantly. As things stand, they are almost certain to win La Liga and have to be considered heavy favourites in the Champions League as well.
Two key players Real Madrid have missed this season are Eder Militao and David Alaba, with both suffering ACL injuries. Fortunately, the Brazilian defender has recovered and returned at this vital juncture of the season.
Militao featured against both Manchester City and Barcelona. He is being used off the bench for now and should be given time to get back up to speed. As for Alaba, he is not expected to return to action anytime soon.
Another Real Madrid centre-back has now suffered an ACL injury. He is not part of their first-team squad and is out on loan instead.
22-year-old Real Madrid defender suffers torn ACL
As reported by CD Mirandes' official website, Pablo Ramon has suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. He also suffers an incomplete radial tear in the lateral third of the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus.
Ramon has never made an appearance for the senior Real Madrid team. The centre-back has been at the club since 2019 and has featured extensively for Castilla. He was getting a ton of playing time at CD Mirandes though, as they look to avoid relegation from the Segunda division.
Unfortunately, Ramon's season has been cut short due to the unfortunate injury, which could see him spend significant time out on the sidelines. We can only wish him a speedy recovery and hope that he is fit enough to return to the pitch as soon as possible.
