3. Thibaut Courtois

In usual circumstances, it would be hard to say that benching Andriy Lunin is the right way to go. Indeed, if the outcome of La Liga was still to be decided, then starting the Ukraine backup goalkeeper would be the right way to go since he has stepped up to the mark in the absence of Thibaut Courtois.

However, with the Belgian number one available for action again (and a substitute against Bayern Munich in midweek), Carlo Ancelotti should consider playing him from the start this weekend.

After all, the games remaining in La Liga are low stakes for Real Madrid since they have already won the trophy. Therefore, granting Thibaut Courtois some invaluable minutes on the field between now and the end of the season can only mean great things.

Whether or not Courtois starts in the Champions League final remains to be seen but this is a position which Ancelotti can afford to rotate this weekend and rotate he should.
