1. Dani Ceballos
Perhaps the most obvious choice is Dani Ceballos, who can only improve from last season. In the 2023/24 campaign, the Spaniard who signed from Real Betis made just 5 Liga starts, a tally he would like to improve on.
Ceballos is considered in high regard by Carlo Ancelotti, which is the biggest compliment in world football, considering the calibre of midfielders he has coached in the past.
Recently, there was talk about Ancelotti upgrading the squad role of Dani Ceballos, in the absence of Toni Kroos next season. It would be a move which makes sense, since Ceballos can play that deeper-lying creative role but add a new dynamic by bombing forward when the game calls for it.
