Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos had a tough season. Therefore, he only made a disappointing five Liga starts last season throughout Madrid's title winning campaign.
However, it is not over and out for Dani Ceballos. Instead, he is still at the forefront of Carlo Ancelotti's mind, in news which will come as a breath of fresh air to not only Ceballos but Real Madrid fans as a collective.

According to a report by Sport, Dani Ceballos is expected to play a key role under Carlo Ancelotti next season. A combination of Toni Kroos retiring and Luka Modric swapping to a rotational player rather than a first-team star means that Ceballos should see an increase in minutes, in an upgraded squad role for the former Real Betis player.
Ceballos understands Real Madrid like the back of his hand. Having gone through years of coaching in the Spanish capital, the staff know what to expect from Ceballos and Ceballos knows what is expected of him. In a new-look Real Madrid team next season, it will be nice to have a sense of familiarity in Dani Ceballos.

But this is not news to Real Madrid fans. After all, he has always shown an immense ability to create in the Real Madrid team with his incredible build-up play. Now it is time for Ceballos to apply that ability in the first team on a consistent basis.
