The summer transfer window may seem like it's too far away to even consider but the truth is, all top teams will have already put together their strategy for the summer transfer window. Real Madrid, who are often prolific beasts in the transfer window, need to be one of those teams who have a clear vision on which players to bring in, but more importantly, players to sell. That said, here are 3 Real Madrid players who should be sold in the next transfer window.

3 Real Madrid players who should be sold in the next transfer window

1. Nacho Fernández

This one will be a bitter pill to swallow, but the truth is, Nacho Fernández is past his best. After all, there's a reason why the captain struggles to get game time.

Nacho has been an excellent servant to the club and it will certainly be a tough Adios, but it's a necessary move which must be made to not only make room in the squad, but free up some of the wage allocation for Madrid's big transfer plans.

2. Dani Ceballos

Dani Ceballos has a tremendous mindset and he deserves all the respect in the world for fighting for his spot at such a big club, but he is fighting a losing battle. In truth, Ceballos is a form-reliant player. When he's in good form, he's worth keeping, but a club the size of Real Madrid cannot rely on one good game out of every five.

Ceballos is 27 years old and should be at the peak of his career, but he can't get into the team. Keeping him for another season would be detrimental to his trajectory, especially since Madrid have better, younger players fighting for his position.

3. Ferland Mendy

At the time of writing, Ferland Mendy has started just 12 La Liga matches out of a possible 23. He is involved in an ongoing battle for the position with Fran Garcia, who is younger and looks much more promising than the Frenchman, in my opinion.

Real Madrid won't expect to recuperate much of their losses with Ferland Mendy, as his market value has declined quite steadily since he signed for the footballing capital.
