4 Real Madrid players who definitely won’t be back next season
By Kian Long
4. Paulo Iago
Last week, Paulo Iago handed in a transfer request as he sees his future best-fit away from the Spanish capital. The 17-year-old midfielder has been a respected member of the Real Madrid youth setup since 2014 however, after ten years, he is set to seek a professional contract elsewhere.
The decision was reached after Real Madrid and Iago's camp failed to reach an agreement on the terms of his contract. So, he will now seek a new adventure elsewhere. It is unlikely that Real Madrid will intervene with his hunt, given that he is yet to make his professional debut for the club.
After all, Real Madrid were not in a good position to judge Paulo Iago's playing style. Therefore, it was impossible for the club to commit to giving him game time. Particularly in a star-studded midfield, Iago should not have expected an easy route to the first team.
Which Real Madrid player will you regret leaving the club most?
