5. Jesé

Jesé came through the Real Madrid youth academy and he was an exceptional young player when he was promoted to the first-team. Jesé had several great involvements with the first-team, spreading over a five-year spell. However, his career took a turn after suffering a nasty injury, one which he never truly recovered from.

When he returned from injury, the Spaniard struggled to live up to the form he had previously displayed, so a move to Paris Saint-Germain was deemed best for his career. In the end, that didn't work out and several loan spells later, he returned to La Liga in 2021, signing for Las Palmas.

It's a sad tale given the promise shown by Jesé at Real Madrid but eventually, his career resulted in him becoming a journeyman. Still, ending his career with two Champions League titles, one La Liga, one Ligue 1 and a Copa del Rey isn't bad going.
