Real Madrid are assembling quite the squad for the future. The team is filled with some of the best talent in the world in almost every area on the pitch as well as on the bench, assuring that when some of the starters can't play, there will not be a drop in quality. That is one of the biggest reasons why the club have continued to produce results despite dealing with so many injuries this season.

With players like Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga, all still in their early 20s, the future of Real Madrid is in safe hands for many years to come. However, that should not stop the club from looking to strengthen further.

The most recent world-class youngster to be linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu is a name that the majority of Real Madrid fans will be very familiar with. And he is the type of player with the potential to be one of the best in the game.

We are talking about none other than Florian Wirtz. The German wonderkid is a major reason why Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen are leading the Bundesliga title race by eleven points.

As reported by AS, Adidas is said to be keen on seeing Wirtz in the famous kit of Real Madrid. However, according to BILD, the player does not want to leave Bayer Leverkusen until 2025.

Wirtz has been one of Bayer Leverkusen's top performers for a while and is one of the key pieces in the German club's impressive title charge. If they let it slip from here, it would be heartbreaking for Alonso and company.

It remains to be seen if Real Madrid will pursue a move for Wirtz in the future given the expected €130 million fee Bayer Leverkusen would look for to part ways with him. Time shall tell.
