More often than not, Real Madrid are successful in signing whoever it is that they want to sign. Just take Kylian Mbappe for example. That transfer saga ran on for years. There were multiple occasions when Los Blancos seemed close only for the move to not materialise. And yet, they have managed to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu this summer, at 25 years of age, while being arguably the best player on the planet.
Endrick is another player who has arrived this summer. On the other hand, rumours have linked the club with both Alphonso Davies and Trent Alexander-Arnold, as they look to address the full-back situation in the future.
Do not expect Real Madrid to stop there. Another player who is believed to be high on their transfer wish list is Florian Wirtz. But signing him from Bayer Leverkusen will not be a simple task.
As reported by TEAMtalk, according to German journalist Georg Holzner Bayern Munich love what Wirtz has to offer. They are prepared to ‘go all out’ and win the race for him next summer, no matter the cost.
Bayern Munich determined to sign €150m Real Madrid target
That cost is expected to be very high. There have been rumours that it could take a transfer fee as high as €150 million to sign Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.
Of course, he had a tremendous 23/24 campaign as Bayer Leverkusen ended Bayern Munich's seemingly never-ending run as Bundesliga champions. And Wirtz impressed at EURO 2024 as well although Germany could not make it past the quarter-finals.
Wirtz is expected to leave Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2025. If or when he does, some of Europe's biggest teams will be competing for his signature. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid could be great destinations but then, so could the Premier League.
