Real Madrid are in absolutely no position to panic. In fact, they are in smooth control of everything right now and for as long as the excellent treatment of this great club continues, they will only lengthen their position as the biggest club in the world. Carlo Ancelotti and Florentino Perez have their excellent transfer strategy to thank.

From Real Madrid fans' perspective, the transfer windows of recent times have run like clockwork. While Los Blancos have not spent over the odds on star players routinely, they have picked up some exceptional bargains and developed some key players.

However, there have been some transfers which have simply not worked. Stunningly, there is one player who Carlo Ancelotti signed during his first tenure as Real Madrid manager who still plays at the club, despite never being a first team star...

Carlo Ancelotti prepared to sell one of his first Real Madrid transfers

According to a report from AS, Jesus Vallejo has reached his "end point" as a Real Madrid player. First signed in 2015, his 9 year tenure with Real Madrid could finally come to an end after a series of loan transfers and struggling to get into the Real Madrid setup. It is believed that this summer, Carlo Ancelotti will swallow his pride and listen to offers for the defender.

Jesus Vallejo was one of the first transfers made during the Carlo Ancelotti era. In fact, he was signed in the same transfer window as the likes of Danilo, Casemiro, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez. Therefore, it is clear to see what the vision was back then but only certain players lived up to the expectation.

There will be no hard feelings between Real Madrid and Jesus Vallejo. In fact, his failure to make it at Real Madrid could simply be explained by the strength of competition in the starting lineup. After all, he was fighting for a place in the team alongside the likes of Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Pepe, Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba.

It is easy to read between the lines as this being a signalling of Real Madrid's plans to sign Leny Yoro in the summer transfer window. After all, Yoro is believed to be at the top of Carlo Ancelotti's transfer shortlist so it makes sense that he would alleviate some of the players in his position to better accommodate the Frenchman's arrival this summer.
