Real Madrid have a fantastic record in recent times when it comes to identifying top talents from around the world, signing them and then developing them into key first-team players at Santiago Bernabeu. They have been particularly lucky when it comes to Brazilian wonderkids. Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo are already superstars while Endrick will arrive in the summer, and has an even higher ceiling.

Another player Real Madrid have been linked with in recent times is Estevao. He is Endrick's teammate at Palmeiras.

Some people rate Estevao even higher than Endrick. The Brazilian wonderkid has earned comparisons with Lionel Messi for his style of play and is nicknamed 'Messinho'.

Real Madrid are not the only club interested in signing Estevao though. In fact, it looks like Chelsea might be at the front of the race for the Palmeiras youngster's signature.

As tweeted by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea keep working on the deal to sign Estevao. Discussions have been taking place since October as the youngster remains high on the club’s list. He has a €60 million release clause and no club has decided to trigger it yet.

It is very possible that Palmeiras could be open to parting ways with Estevao in a similar deal structure to the one they agreed with Real Madrid for Endrick. The initial fee is believed to be €35 million with a further €25 million in add-ons.

Let's see what the future holds for Estevao. He recently made his senior debut for Palmeiras and shined while representing Brazil at the FIFA U-17 World Cup. He is without doubt one of the brightest young talents in all of football today.

One would hope that Real Madrid's track record of developing Brazilian youngsters will give them an advantage in the race to sign Estevao. Let's see how things play out over coming months.
