Santiago Bernabeu to Old Trafford has been a busy route in recent years. Raphael Varane made the journey in the summer of 2021 and Casemiro did the same the following year. Two all-time legends, who have not had the greatest time in England so far. That does not mean that Real Madrid are any strangers to signing Manchester United's best and brightest.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy, David Beckham and a few more have switched Manchester United for Real Madrid over the years. And could we be adding the name of Garnacho to that illustrious list soon?

Garnacho spent several years at the Atletico Madrid youth system before making the move to Manchester United. At Old Trafford, he has established himself in the senior team and is viewed as one of their most exiciting players at the moment.

With Manchester United continuing to struggle, it is no surprise that Garnacho is being linked with a move away already. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been touted as potential destinations. Are the rumours accurate though?

Fabrizio Romano drops Alejandro Garnacho to Real Madrid update

As reported by Caught Offside, Fabrizio Romano said:

"I also don’t know anything about Alejandro Garnacho being a concrete target for clubs like Real Madrid and PSG, despite rumours. It’s obvious to link one of the best talents in the world with these clubs but there’s absolutely nothing now. He’s focused on Manchester United and obviously United are super happy for him."

Thus, it looks like there is not much to the Garnacho to Real Madrid rumours right now. That does not mean that the situation could not change if he continued to do well at Manchester United.

If Real Madrid are able to sign someone like Garnacho, it would have to be seen as a major coup. At just 19 years of age, he is already a key player for Manchester United.

That being said, it is hard to see where he would fit in at Real Madrid. Garnacho primarily plays on the left flank. Los Blancos already have Vinicius Junior while they have been heavily linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe as well, with his contract at PSG running out in the summer.
