Needless to say, Real Madrid have some gigantic transfer plans for the summer transfer window. With Endrick joining and Kylian Mbappe expected to join, Carlo Ancelotti will still not be satisfied as he aims to implement a new-look and star-studded Real Madrid team next season.

Firstly, Real Madrid prepare for the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League final, where they will face Borussia Dortmund in London, England. The last time Real Madrid played in a Champions League final was in the 2021–22 season against Liverpool in Saint-Denis, France. It was a final which Real Madrid won two years ago, so Ancelotti is hoping to replicate that.

Speaking of Liverpool, they missed out on the Champions League but next season, they will return to play in the European elite competition. That said, Real Madrid wish to steal one of their players, according to reports.

Fabrizio Romano links Liverpool superstar to Real Madrid transfer

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update which will excite Real Madrid fans. According to Romano (via Football365), Real Madrid will look to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool in the next summer transfer window, with his contract situation up in the air.

In his own words, Romano said: “Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of Real Madrid’s targets. They really like the player. Real Madrid will try to sign Alexander-Arnold next summer if he does not renew his contract with Liverpool.”

Currently, the England international runs out of contract in 2025, so at the end of next season. Being one of the club's most profitable assets, it is safe to say that Liverpool will not wish to lose Trent for free, particularly considering their self-sufficient financial model. Therefore, the full-back could be up for sale in the summer transfer window, should he not extend his deal.

Whether or not Real Madrid wish to pay a fee for Alexander-Arnold or risk it by waiting to sign him for free next summer remains to be seen. But certainly, the club are interested in him nevertheless.

It is clear to see why Real Madrid admire Trent Alexander-Arnold as a player. Not only is he versatile enough to play in the midfield but he has one of the best ranges of passing in the world. Across all competitions, he has provided nine assists this season which is an indication as to the type of creative player he is.

Dani Carvajal is approaching the end of his career. The 32-year-old runs out of contract in 2025, like Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool. Therefore, it is likely that the Liverpool superstar is signed as a long-term replacement for Carvajal, ageing at just 25 years old himself.
