It is finally official, Kylian Mbappe is a Real Madrid player. For years, the Frenchman had been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu. On many occasions, it looked close but never quite happened. Now, all the pieces have finally fallen into place. We will see the World Cup winner in the iconic Royal White jersey from next season.
As reported by the club's official website, Real Madrid and Mbappe have reached an agreement. He will play for them for the next five seasons.
Of course, the news comes soon after Real Madrid won the Champions League for the 15th time. And one has to wonder if any team can stop them after adding Mbappe to a squad that is only expected to get better moving forward.
It is no secret that Mbappe had always dreamed of playing for Real Madrid and grown up as a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. And he posted a beautiful message along with throwback pictures on Twitter:

In his message, Mbappe described the move as a 'dream come true' and called Real Madrid 'the club of my dream'. It is safe to say that the Frenchman is happy to have signed for Los Blancos.
Mbappe will surely have big goals coming to Real Madrid. He is yet to win a Champions League or the Ballon d'Or. There is no better place to achieve those goals than at Santiago Bernabeu.
Now, let's hope that things work out for him at Santiago Bernabeu. At times, long-awaited moves do not work out as well. Just look at how Eden Hazard's career at Real Madrid turned out after his iconic spell with Chelsea in the Premier League. Hopefully, he will have a run more similar to his idol, a certain Cristiano Ronaldo.
