Real Madrid won their 15th Champions League final and lifted the trophy YET AGAIN thanks to goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior without reply. Carlo Ancelotti stuck with his philosophy, even when it didn't work through the first half. Here are the joyous Real Madrid player ratings vs Dortmund...

Real Madrid player ratings vs Dortmund

GK: Thibaut Courtois - 8/10. Denied a huge opportunity from Adeyemi in the 28th minute, reacting quickly to throw a hand to the floor. Throughout the match, the Belgian played brilliantly and showed that experience beats all.

RB: Dani Carvajal - 8.5/10. Dealt with Adeyemi well by pinning the speedy winger back. Carvajal denied a clear-cut open goal in the 21st minute and had an excellent shot on target in the 57th. In he 74th minute, he scored an excellent header to put Real Madrid a goal ahead. An unlikely source but WHAT A TIME for Carvajal to score...

CB: Nacho Fernandez - 7/10. Captained the side in potentially his last match and kept a clean sheet. Nacho can have no complaints about his performance.

CB: Antonio Rudiger - 8/10. Remained composed in the back-line despite the heavy Dortmund presence throughout. Had plenty of moments where he saved Real Madrid.

LB: Ferland Mendy - 7/10. Improvised well to cover the right-hand side during Borussia Dortmund's counter-attack in the 30th minute, denying a potent 5v3 attack from prospering.

CM: Toni Kroos - 8/10. His final game for Real Madrid and he came very close to opening the scoring with a rocket free-kick. He got the assist for Carvajal from the corner, a fitting farewell for the club legend to leave with an assist and the trophy.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga - 8/10. Played well and dictated the midfield play. Had a few good touches throughout the match to get out of tight positions. His composure proved pivotal and he even came close to scoring a SCREAMER in the 81st minute.

CM - Federico Valverde - 8.5/10. One of Real Madrid's best players and if there was ever an opportunity for Real to bring the ball forward with purpose, Valverde carried out the task.

AM: Jude Bellingham - 7/10. Didn't have the best first half but this was understandable given his advanced position and how rampant BVB's attack was. Could've doubled the scoring in the 77th minute had it not been for great defending from Schlotterbeck but he did make up for it by providing Vinicius Junior for the second goal in the 82nd minute. Quiet but effective, clearly.

ST: Vinicius Junior - 9/10. Kept high energy throughout the match and solely carried the attack at times. Scored the second goal with a composed dinking finish after hitting the ball into the ground. Ballon d'Or all but secured for Vini.

ST: Rodrygo - 6/10. Wasn't Rodrygo's best game as he was silent throughout.

SUB: Luka Modric - N/A. Was a nice touch for the club legend to come on but he was not given enough time to warrant a rating.

SUB: Joselu - N/A. The man who is the reason why Real Madrid reached the final. Deservedly he lifts the trophy.

SUB: Eder Militao - N/A. Came on for injury time to provide more defensive reassurance.

SUB: Lucas Vazquez - N/A. Made another Champions League final appearance but only for two minutes.
