Kylian Mbappe denies Real Madrid transfer agreement
Just when it had looked like the Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid transfer saga was done once and for all, things have taken another twist. Several outlets across Europe suggested in recent weeks that an agreement had been reached between the French World Cup winner and Los Blancos and that he would be donning the Royal White jersey come next season. Unfortunately, it looks like that might not be the case yet.
Mbappe will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract in the summer. And Real Madrid seems to be his most likely destination. Nothing is set in stone though.
Mbappe was invited to the Elysee Palace for a dinner organised by French President Emmanuel Macron. He was asked about the prospect of joining Real Madrid this summer. But as reported by RMC Sport (via GOAL), he denied that the deal has been finalised.
So, is it possible that Mbappe could end up anywhere other than Real Madrid in the summer? Well, when it comes to this transfer saga, anything is possible.
Mbappe denies Real Madrid transfer agreement
Mbappe might not have finalised an agreement with Real Madrid yet but that does not mean that it could happen in the future. In fact, Santiago Bernabeu remains his most likely destination.
Real Madrid fans should take nothing for granted though until they see Mbappe being presented at the Santiago Bernabeu with the Royal White jersey. There have far too many twists and turns in this saga already.
To be very honest, Mbappe joining Real Madrid seems like only a matter of time. But this summer feels like the best opportunity to make it happen. If it does not materialise this time around, it might never do. It is the French World Cup winner who holds all the cards right now.
