Liverpool interested in signing €80m Real Madrid player

Liverpool are currently leading the Premier League table as the transition from Jurgen Klopp to Arne Slot has gone much better than anybody could have anticipated. It remains to be seen whether the Reds can maintain their early form under their new manager. Also, it looks like they are already eyeing moves for the future, with one Real Madrid player still on their radar.

It is not often that players leave Real Madrid unless they are struggling for playing time. At the moment, Aurelien Tchouameni does not seem to be facing any such issues.

Tchouameni is one of the players Carlo Ancelotti has heavily relied on since he was signed from AS Monaco in the summer of 2022. He has started every game that he has been available for this season so far.

Yet, Tchouameni continues to be linked with a move away from Real Madrid. And Liverpool are one of the clubs to have been rumoured with an interest in the French midfielder for years, going back to his days at AS Monaco.

As reported by Fichajes, Real Madrid, although satisfied with the player's potential, would not be against parting with him if a suitable offer arrives. There is talk of a significant figure of around €80 million. Liverpool are keeping an eye on any movement and are one of the clubs most interested in signing him to reinforce their midfield.

Of course, it feels unlikely that Real Madrid would even consider Tchouameni leaving unless an undeniable offer arrived at their table. One cannot discount Premier League clubs' ability to make those kinds of offers though.

Let's see what the future holds for Tchouameni. Hopefully, it lies at Santiago Bernabeu for years to come. The Frenchman is an integral part of the current squad.
