Manchester United have continued to struggle since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013. The following decade has seen them go one step forward and two back time after time. Erik ten Hag's side showed a lot of promise last season but look like a shadow of that team this time around. Could signing a Real Madrid superstar hand them the boost that they need?

Manchester United's biggest issue right now is their lack of efficiency in the final third of the pitch. Only three teams have scored less goals than Ten Hag's side in the Premier League this season.

Two of them are in the relegation zone and the other just five points above it. So, it is easy to understand why Manchester United need to be scoring more goals. In fact, it is remarkable that they are seventh right now.

The Old Trafford side might be looking towards Real Madrid in search of a solution. As reported by Defensa Central (via SPORT), Manchester United would be willing to pay a €150 million transfer fee for Vinicius Junior.

Of course, Manchester United are no strangers to signing top players from Real Madrid. Over the past decade, they have signed Angel Di Maria, Raphael Varane and Casemiro.

Vinicius is one of the faces of this current Real Madrid team. He has not had the greatest season so far, having had to deal with injuries and a change in position. But he reminded the world of his quality by scoring a hattrick against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final.

Real Madrid should not consider letting Vinicius go at this point in time. But if they end up signing Kylian Mbappe and a €150 million offer comes in from Manchester United, the situation might look a it different.
