Real Madrid have one of the best young squads in the world. When you think about the world's most promising youngsters, a few Real Madrid stars will spring to mind. However, there is one Manchester City gem who Carlo Ancelotti would like to add to his ranks.
Real Madrid may attempt to sign Manchester City sensation Phil Foden
According to a report by Defensa Central, Real Madrid may try to sign Phil Foden in the summer transfer window, as they would like to reunite the England international with Jude Bellingham after the EURO 2024 campaign.
Interestingly, The Real Champs revealed recently that Erling Haaland would like to join Real Madrid, so it remains to be seen whether his teammate is also dreaming of that move.
Phil Foden is having a terrific season in sky blue colours this season. The 23-year-old has scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists across all competitions for Manchester City, emerging as a first-team staple under Pep Guardiola.
As a boyhood Manchester City graduate with the potential to retire as a club legend, it remains to be seen whether he would be willing to jump ship. However, it goes without saying that Real Madrid have one of the greatest pulling power in Europe, so when they call, more often than not players will answer with the most optimistic smile.
Foden is immensely versatile, which is a large reason why he's managed to emerge as one of the standout players on a weekly basis in the star-studded Man City team. He can play as a striker, midfielder or a winger. This will immensely benefit Carlo Ancelotti, as he tries to decipher his strongest Real Madrid lineup with Kylian Mbappe.
So far in his illustrious career, the Englishman has won five Premier League titles, two FA Cup trophies, the Champions League and the U17 World Cup. Under Pep Guardiola and alongside world-class talents like Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, Foden has honed his craft well and would become a true asset to Real Madrid, should he sign.
