Real Madrid defender picks up some new Chelsea shirts for himself

Real Madrid recently beat Chelsea in pre-season. It was the conclusion of Los Blancos' pre-season tour of the USA, which has been great for some players to explore a country they may have never been to, all while keeping up match fitness in preparation for the season ahead.

The fixture against Chelsea was always in Real Madrid's control. In fact, from the 19th minute when the first goal was scored by Lucas Vazquez, Real Madrid led the match for the entirety. Brahim Diaz also got on the scoresheet, putting Real Madrid 2-0 up. But they entered the half-way point at 2-1, after Noni Madueke scored a consolation for Carlo Ancelotti's former side. This scoreline remained.

It wasn't just Carlo Ancelotti who came up against his former side, though. Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger has emerged into a Real Madrid fan favourite, but he is also remembered fondly by Chelsea fans, for his previous commitment to the London-based club.

After the match, Antonio Rudiger took the opportunity to catch up with Chelsea. Antonio Rudiger was even gifted some Chelsea jerseys, to remind him of his former days with Chelsea. In the video which was posted to social media, Rudiger was seen holding some Chelsea jerseys and talking with Chelsea legend Gary Cahill, who also played in his position.

Antonio Rudiger only has fond memories of playing for Chelsea, so it's nice to see he got an opportunity to catch up with his former teammates. With Chelsea, Rudiger won the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, Super Cup and Club World Cup. The Blues haven't been the same since he left, but now he is on the journey of becoming a Real Madrid legend.

Next up for Real Madrid, it's Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup, before their Liga season commences against Mallorca. Antonio Rudiger will be key to both matches, no doubt.
