Rodrygo has impressed whilst on international duty. He scored a goal in the thrilling 3-3 encounter between Brazil and Spain. This is a match which may have appealed to Real Madrid fans since many of their stars featured for both teams. In fact, Rodrygo AND Endrick both scored for Brazil, the latter becoming a Real Madrid player in the summer, of course.

Rodrygo has made the headlines elsewhere, as he picked a suprising player when asked about the best player he's ever faced. Bear in mind that Rodrygo has played against some world-class stars whilst on duty with Real Madrid and Spain but he picked a player who he will face next month in the Champions League.

Speaking to GOAL (quoted by Manchester City News), Rodrygo named Man City star Kevin De Bruyne as his all-time hardest player he's faced. He complimented De Bruyne for how intelligent he is, making him a difficult player to come up against.

In his own words, Rodrygo said: “ De Bruyne because he is very intelligent and sees some things that no one else does”

Indeed, Kevin De Bruyne has one of the greatest footballing minds in the world. The Belgian international is world-class and he only continues to improve, despite ageing at 32 years old.

Kevin De Bruyne is a big-game player and he thrives in situations as large as the UEFA Champions League. Therefore, he will be a player on the radar of Carlo Ancelotti, as he plans his best tactical configuration.

In the last few seasons, De Bruyne has caused mayhem against Real Madrid, so Los Blancos will hope for less of the same in this encounter. Real Madrid will play the opening leg at home, and then travel to Manchester for the second leg. It's going to be a close affair, with world-class players on display.

Meanwhile, this Manchester City standout still dreams of a Bernabeu transfer.
