Although it is yet to be officially announced by any party involved, reports in Spain suggest that Real Madrid have signed Kylian Mbappe, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain. Marca broke the news about the player penning a five-year deal, which has come as no shock to the world, but his estimated earnings have definitely come as a surprise.
Marca claim that the five-year deal will see Kylian Mbappe become the highest earner at the club and what's more, the player is set to receive a whopping £85.5m signing on fee. Furthermore, any attempt for PSG to keep ahold of their contracted player has been strongly discouraged by Mbappe's team - He has made up his mind.
It remains to be seen when Kylian Mbappe will be unveiled as a Real Madrid player. Situations like this are always complicated for clubs to negotiate with since he is under contract at the Parc des Princes until the end of the season. Either way, Real Madrid are likely to remain respectful, as they have done throughout this entire transfer saga.
Certainly for Real Madrid fans, they have every right to get excited about this deal. Kylian Mbappe is the most exciting player to emerge from the last decade, so partnering him in the attack with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo is exciting for the future of the sport.
According to Football Espana, the official presentation from Real Madrid will commence in July, after France complete their EURO 2024 journey. In the competition, Mbappe is predicted to be one of the standout players, as he is the most important attacker France have.
This summer, Mbappe will focus on giving the French fans a reason to celebrate once more, as his tremendous efforts in the World Cup final in Argentina were bettered by Argentina. After this competition, he will be unveiled as a Real Madrid player.
