Real Madrid has seen many great players during its rich history. While many legendary players ruin their reputation when they become managers, there are a select few gems who only improve their incredible reputation when they take on managerial roles. One of those players in recent history is the Real Madrid and Juventus legend, Zinedine Zidane.

It goes without saying how great Zidane was as a player. The Frenchman is widely-regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in history and this is certainly the case for Juventus and Real Madrid fans, who adore him.

Since retiring from his playing days, Zizou has come back to manage Real Madrid during two individual stints, leading Los Blancos to one of the most successful periods in the club's history.

Zidane has only ever managed at Real Madrid and currently without a job, he is the most sought-after manager on the market. It remains to be seen whether he returns to coach, though.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zinedine Zidane would be open to returning to management and particularly open to returning to Italy. Given that he is linked with the Juventus managerial job, Zidane openly spoke about returning there.

In his own words during the Marcello Lippi documentary, Zidane said: "Future in Italy, why not? Anything can happen. Now I'm doing other things, let's see, but I'm sure I'd like another time on the bench".

It would be great to see Zidane return to management for any club. He has recently been linked with the Bayern Munich job, with Thomas Tuchel's future still up in the air at the Bavarian club. Certainly, Zidane has plenty of fine experience in the game and he could lead most European teams to glory, given the right timeframe.
