Bayern Munich have had to change managers quite frequently in recent years as they have been unsuccessful in finding any sort of consistency in the hot seat since Pep Guardiola left. Thomas Tuchel did arrive with a big reputation, having won the Champions League with Chelsea, but is struggling this season, with Bayer Leverkusen running away in the title race. Could a Real Madrid legend replace him in Bavaria in the near future?

Real Madrid have had some great managers in recent years. But nobody has managed to achieve what Zinedine Zidane did, winning three Champions League trophies on the trot during his first spell as the club's manager.

Zidane has had two spells as manager of Real Madrid but never managed another club so far. Bayern Munich could calling soon though.

As tweeted by Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich want to continue with Tuchel at least until the end of the season. However, they are now taking it game by game. That is why they are considering a plan B and C in the background. One of the candidates who has been discussed internally is Zinedine Zidane. They appreciate his aura and experience.

Zidane has been without a club since he left Real Madrid in the summer of 2021. Bayern Munich are the level of team who might be capable of bringing him back into management though.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Tuchel at Bayern Munich. But the way things are going, it is hard to see them improving any time soon.

Zidane is not the only Real Madrid legend in the running for the Bayern Munich job. Xabi Alonso is believed to be another candidate as well, although in that case, the club might have to wait until the summer, with him challenging for the Bundesliga title at Bayer Leverkusen.
