Real Madrid are always linked with players from all across the globe even though the club have not been very active when it comes to transfers in recent years. What they have been though is extemely efficient with their signings and excellent in their recruitment. That has meant that they have remained one of the best teams in all of Europe despite not having the deepest roster.
Real Madrid have been linked with a few Manchester United players in recent times. Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho are both rumoured to be on Los Blancos' radar. And it looks like it is time to add another name to that list.
That is none other than Marcus Rashford. The Englishman signed a long-term extension not too long ago but there is already speculation around his future, as he has struggled to match the heights he reached last season.
As reported by Real Madrid Exclusivo, the idea is that Real Madrid sign back Takefusa Kubo and then use him in a swap deal for the arrival of Rashford. In the end, it would be as if Los Blancos signed the Manchester United superstar for €30 million.
Real Madrid want Manchester United superstar in swap deal
Real Madrid do have the option to sign Kubo from Real Sociedad for a transfer fee around €30 million. That is because they have a 50% sell-on clause.
Kubo has been one of the best players in La Liga this season and has been linked with a number of high-profile clubs. One of them being Manchester United.
Pulling off a deal like this would be complicated for sure. It would be difficult to get everyone onboard. But if Real Madrid are able to bring in Rashford in a swap deal for Kubo, it has the potential to be a masterstroke.
