Real Madrid are assembling a formidable squad for the future. The club have been steadily signing some of the best young talents from all across the world to build a team with the potential to be one of the best in Europe for years to come. And we already see that working, as Carlo Ancelotti's side have been fantastic this season despite having to deal with challenging circumstances.

The likes of Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga will be expected to continue the legacy of Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric for years to come. The trio seem to already be gelling together nicely.

Up front, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are nailed-on starters moving forward. It is just a long-term number 9 that Real Madrid need to sign.

It is the defence that remains undetermined. Eder Militao is expected to be a cornerstone piece in the backline but who else will be there?

One player in particular who has had questions asked about his future is Ferland Mendy. The French left-back has had to deal with injuries for years but has put together a very impressive string of performances this season. However, despite his current good form, the club may be ready to part ways with him.

The Frenchman's future at Santiago Bernabeu is well and truly up in the air. As reported by Relevo, the move that Real Madrid wants to carry out involves transferring Mendy to make way for Alphonso Davies.

Since his arrival in the summer of 2019, Mendy has been consistently dealing with injuries which could be a key factor in the club looking towards Davies. The Frenchman still has one year left on his contract and has been linked with clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United in recent times.
