Real Madrid player no longer wants to leave the club this summer
Real Madrid do not have a ton of squad depth but it is safe to say that Carlo Ancelotti has made the most of the options that are available to him. The club will enter the 24/25 season as the defenders of the Champions League and La Liga. And after adding Kylian Mbappe and Endrick to their ranks, expect them to compete for silverware once again.
Despite Real Madrid's thin squad depth, it is safe to say that Ancelotti likes to stick to a proven group of players and does not make too many changes to his teams. That has meant that some have struggled to get consistent playing time.
Dani Ceballos is one such player. He signed a long-term contract extension with Real Madrid just last summer after a promising 22/23 campaign. But he barely featured in the previous campaign. According to stats from Transfermarkt, the Spaniard played just 864 minutes.
Naturally, he was being linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu. Even Atletico Madrid were rumoured to be interested.
Real Madrid player no longer wants to leave the club this summer
As reported by MARCA, Ceballos has received many offers but his priority is to stay at Real Madrid. He wants to succeed at the club and be important in Ancelotti's plans.
Ceballos could be helped by the fact that Toni Kroos retired at the end of last season. Luka Modric is also a little over a month away from his 39th birthday and his playing time is only expected to decrease further moving forward.
All things considered, it looks like Ceballos could be more involved in the upcoming season. When he got his chances in the 22/23 campaign, he took them well. Real Madrid fans will be hoping for more of the same from the 27-year-old.
