Real Madrid have the best history in the UEFA Champions League. They have won 14 Champions League titles and this season, they are presented with the opportunity to win a 15th, setting themselves even further apart from AC Milan. First, though, they must beat Borussia Dortmund in London, England, on June 1st.

Make no mistake about it, Carlo Ancelotti will field his strongest possible lineup. While Real Madrid are favourites to win the competition, he will not underestimate Dortmund - BVB are a club he knows well after all, given his previous Bundesliga tenure with Bayern Munich. Therefore, depending on fitness levels, Real Madrid will field a full strength eleven.

Thankfully for Los Blancos, they have one strong midfield contender set to return in time for the Champions League final.

Real Madrid star player returns from injury for Champions League final

According to RMC Sport, Aurelien Tchouameni is "doing better". Thankfully for Real Madrid fans, the French outlet do predict that Tchouameni will be back for the UEFA Champions League final, being involved in the squad at the very least. It was previously believed that Tchouameni would be out for three weeks, leaving him as a risk for the final. Thankfully, he is experiencing a fast recovery.

This is a welcomed boost for Carlo Ancelotti, who is clearly a big fan of the Frenchman. This season, Tchouameni has started 31 games across all competitions for Real Madrid. He is a versatile midfielder who is best suited to playing the deep-lying midfielder role to hold the line for Madrid but he has also adopted the centre back position to cover injuries this season.

It remains to be seen whether or not Tchouameni starts the Champions League final. Thankfully for Carlo Ancelotti, he is afforded the luxury of playing a full-strength team with every player except David Alaba available (as it stands). Whether or not Tchouameni starts, there is no denying that his involvement in the squad will be welcomed.
