Los Blancos are at home to Athletic Club as they hope to continue their momentum and potentially lengthen the gap at the top of the table, depending on what happens around them. Heading into this match, Real Madrid hold an eight-point lead at the top of the table over newly-second-placed Barcelona, who took advantage of Girona's shaky form.
The title race could have an interesting end but Real Madrid will hope to make it as least interesting as possible by winning their remaining fixtures. Each step is one step closer to lifting the trophy for the first time since 2022, returning it home.
Real Madrid are expected to field a strong lineup, as Carlo Ancelotti's players are well-rested after the international break. Well, those who weren't involved in action, anyway.
The pride of the Spanish capital are unbeaten in their last five league games. However, the competition is not getting easier, as Athletic Club are having a good season. Real's opponents will come to the Bernabeu in good form, only losing one of their last five league games.
The last time these two teams met, the scoreline was 2-0 to Real Madrid, with Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham scoring two first-half goals. Both of those players had great international breaks, so they could easily repeat the scoring this weekend.
