Real Madrid are interested in signing a handful of Premier League stars (two of them coming from Arsenal and Man City), as Florentino Perez plans for Galacaticos 2.0.

Real Madrid are one of the most financially sensible clubs around. In fact, despite being reserved in the transfer windows of late, they have maintained their status as the best club in the world.

However, there is a growing sense that this is changing. In the past, Real Madrid were serious spend-aholics. As the old saying, old habits die hard.

Indeed, Florentino Perez is tipped to become a serious investor in the next few summer transfer windows. After all, Real Madrid have accumulated the cash to do so, becoming the first club to achieve €1 billion in revenue.

According to a report from the Miguel Delaney of The Independent, Real Madrid are eyeing some of the more premium Premier League players for big-money transfers in the future.

Indeed, Real Madrid would like to sign the likes of Cristian Romero, William Saliba, Rodri and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

It is stated within the same report that after some years realigning the Real Madrid finances, the club now feel ready to dip their toes into spending big money again.

In many ways, this has been coming for a long time. After all, Real Madrid invested heavily in Jude Bellingham and of course, Kylian Mbappe's salary. This goes to show that Real Madrid are not opposed to splashing out on the right players.

Delaney claims there are many reasons why Real Madrid have bolstered their finances. The most obvious is their acquisition of young, cheaper players, while still winning Champions League trophies.

However, turning the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium into a money-making cash cow is another reason. They are making the stadium more compatible for high-scale events to bring in revenue, similar to the Tottenham Hotspur model.

Furthermore, the report also puts forward the FIFA Club World Cup as a money-maker for Real Madrid, with the prize money potential sitting at €80m.

Of the transfer targets, it does feel like Rodri would make the most sense. After all, they have lost the spark in central midfield, with Toni Kroos retiring.

Furthermore, Delaney makes a great point that signing Rodri could strengthen Real Madrid's ties with the Spanish national team, those ties appearing paper-thin in recent seasons.

Either way, targeting some of the Premier League's biggest stars can only mean good things for Real Madrid.
