The decision for Carlo Ancelotti to start Real Madrid's new signing paid dividends, as he scored a great goal, firing a pass from Jude Bellingham into the top right corner. Now, the question remains, will Mbappe make his La Liga debut against Real Mallorca?
Of course, it is sometimes customary for managers to allow time for their new signings to gel into the team before throwing them in the deep end. However, this is the case for "standard" players, for lack of a better word. Mbappe is far from standard and he is one of the best players in the world, so his case is different.

The evidence certainly points to Kylian Mbappe making his La Liga debut in the Real Mallorca vs Real Madrid match. He played well in midweek and Carlo Ancelotti certainly has no reason to make any changes to the lineup which played at the highest level.
Furthermore, Kylian Mbappe was taken off the pitch before full-time, after putting Real Madrid 2-0 up. This likely serves as an indication that Carlo Ancelotti wanted to protect his new signing from any late injuries in the match, keeping him fresh for the commencement of La Liga.
In the buildup to the 2024/24 season, Carlo Ancelotti was full of praise for his attacking options this campaign. He hinted that he planned to use all of his world-class attackers (Rodrygo, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior) simultaneously.
This certainly took shape against Atalanta in midweek, as all four players remained on the pitch past the 75 minute mark. They formed a great connection with one another, with Kylian Mbappe naturally stealing the headlines.
A goal in his Liga debut would do Mbappe the world of good for his confidence. That said, he has never struck anybody as being short of confidence. So, I do think Kylian Mbappe will be handed his La Liga debut against Real Mallorca this weekend.
