Rodrygo has been one of the major success stories of Real Madrid's new transfer policy. Having moved to the Spanish capital back in 2019 from Santos in a €45 million switch, the Brazilian youngster had found the early goings tough. But Los Blancos showed tremendous patience, continuing to trust his talent and allowing him the time needed to develop as a player.

Real Madrid's patience was rewarded as Rodrygo has developed into a regular starter for them. He is yet to deliver the goods consistently but on top form, he is one of the best in the world.

Real Madrid are expected to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer though. And that has led to questions about the future of Rodrygo. Will he get enough chances if or when the French World Cup winner arrives? If he does not, would he satisfied being a squad player?

While we do not know the answer to those questions, one thing has been made quite clear. Rodrygo wants to continue at Real Madrid despite being linked with clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and PSG.

Rodrygo has made his feelings about Real Madrid clear. As reported by 90min, he told beIN SPORTS:

"I love this club so much.

"I hope my future is always here. [Carlo Ancelotti] is like a father to me."

There is no doubt that Rodrygo is a tremendous player. And what is even more exciting is the fact that there is a lot more room for improvement in his game.

That being said, if Mbappe was to arrive at Real Madrid, it could make things interesting. Would the Frenchman be able to play in the same team as Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo?

We have already seen him in a trio with Lionel Messi and Neymar, and that was not the grand success that it was expected to be. And to be honest, neither Vinicius nor Rodrygo, despite their unquestionable brilliance, can drop deep and become a primary playmaker for Mbappe as the Argentine did at PSG. If there is a manager who can make it work though, it is Carlo Ancelotti.
