Real Madrid have an excellent crop of players currently representing the champions. Only recently, Carlo Ancelotti's men lifted the La Liga trophy and they are on the precipice of a treble, should they win the Champions League final, having won La Liga and the Supercopa de España already this season.

However, despite all the success, there is one unfortunate tale of a club legend who left Real Madrid, only to struggle at his new club. That player is Casemiro, who became one of the greatest players in the world at the footballing capital of the world, only to be sold to Manchester United in 2022.

Since he was sold to Manchester United, generating €64.65m in profit for Real Madrid, Casemiro has made 55 Premier League appearances but this doesn't tell the entire tale.

Casemiro brought his world-class exploits to Manchester but unfortunately, he has been misused by Erik ten Hag. Just recently, Casemiro has been forced to play as a centre back and he has made some costly mistakes, most notably against Arsenal at the weekend, handing a win to United's oldest rivals.

So, Casemiro is understandably the victim of criticism. Unfortunately, a legendary player of the game has tarnished his reputation in the Premier League but it is only partly his own fault.

According to an update from The Telegraph, clubs in the Saudi Pro League are interested in a double swoop for Manchester United duo Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes.

Ageing at 32 years old, joining the Saudi Pro League would likely be the last transfer secured by Casemiro. His Manchester United contract expires in 2026 but given his poor performances this season, it would appear likely that his heart is not in the right place at Old Trafford. Therefore, Casemiro securing a Saudi Pro League transfer would not come as a surprise.
