Real Madrid are always eager to sign the best players in the world. Therefore, the recruitment team at the Santiago Bernabeu must keep an eye on all of the best leagues in the world, with the Premier League being right up there.
Currently, it is Liverpool stealing the show in the Premier League. However, speaking contextually, Chelsea are also performing above their expected standards in the last few seasons. It is Chelsea who are holding their own and not allowing Liverpool to run away with the title.
Largely to thank for their impressive first season under Enzo Maresca is Cole Palmer. Currently, Palmer is the best player in the Premier League alongside Mohamed Salah. Therefore, Real Madrid have been keeping an eye on Palmer.
According to a report from Fichajes, Real Madrid are "on the trail" of Cole Palmer, meaning they are monitoring his outstanding progress with Chelsea, with a potential transfer in mind for the future.
Here is how Chelsea could lineup with Cole Palmer...
The potential Real Madrid lineup with Cole Palmer
GK - Thibaut Courtois. Courtois played for Cole Palmer's club Chelsea. However, they were not teammates at the time. Still, it's not too late for them to be introduced, right?
RB - Trent Alexander-Arnold. Wishful thinking as Trent isn't a Real Madrid player yet. However, there is a big chance he could be. Having played alongside Palmer for England, the two are good friends.
CB - Antonio Rudiger. Like Courtois, Rudiger played for Chelsea before Palmer signed there. They can definitely bond over the London life, though... Under much better weather!
CB - Eder Militao. Not without his injury concerns, Eder Militao is an exciting defender with a bright future ahead of him.
LB - Fran Garcia. A toss-up between Garcia and Mendy as the decision cannot be made at Real Madrid. For personal preference only, I will put Garcia in.
CM - Federico Valverde. A club legend who is still making his Real Madrid legacy. He would be excited to work alongside Cole Palmer.
CM - Cole Palmer. It is unfortunate but it will be one of Tchouameni or Camavinga who would be sacrificed in the midfield, to facilitate the arrival of Palmer. Despite being one of the best players in the world, he has a better chance of improving the Real Madrid midfield, rather than the attack.
CM - Jude Bellingham. Working alongside Palmer will be Jude Bellingham. This lineup would feature an English core, not the worst idea for Real Madrid considering they are one of the best footballing nations in the world currently.
RW - Rodrygo. Many thought that with Mbappe and Endrick arriving, it would be Rodrygo who was dropped to the bench. Yet, he refuses to roll over and it will be the same even if Palmer arrives.
ST - Kylian Mbappe. He would prefer to play out wide but there is a fine chance of that with the world's best player Vinicius Junior occupying his preferred position. Mbappe would be more inspired to improve with Cole Palmer, who can also play this position, breathing down his neck.
LW - Vinicius Junior. Despite transfer rumours, we hope that the club legend (already) sticks with Real Madrid for the rest of the foreseeable future. Fingers crossed here.
Predicted Real Madrid lineup with Cole Palmer: Courtois; Alexander-Arnold, Rudiger, Militao, Garcia; Valverde, Palmer, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappe, Vinicius Jr
