Real Madrid's weakest position in the last few years - especially since Gareth Bale left his prime as well as the club - has been the right wing spot.
There have been some good players who have played there, but they are either not a natural fit there, or they don't prefer playing on that side.
Some of those options are still present at the club, and will be listed in this article, but the point is not that there are some unnatural right-wingers at Real Madrid - it's the fact that the club has an abundance of talented players who can play there on any single day, and some of them are either naturals at that position, or have a lot of experience there.
Real Madrid's depth on the right wing is now incredible
Obviously, the players that never left in the first place are Rodrygo, Brahim and Fede Valverde, but Real Madrid have also added Yan Diomande and Bernardo Silva, while Endrick has come back from loan from Lyon.
Real Madrid's depth chart on that side is now absolutely ridiculous. Yan Diomande, for the first time in years, is a natural right-winger that has been signed by the club. Bernardo Silva has played on that side for years at Manchester City, while Endrick also played a lot of minutes on the right for Lyon, developing into a genuine threat from the right, with a lot of striker-type attributes that would also help him.
It is brilliant news for the club. Depending on the opposition, Jose Mourinho has five proper options to start there. Technically, there are seven in Arda Guler and Rodrygo, but Guler is simply not quick enough to play on the wing, and Rodrygo is not comfortable enough on that side, and is probably not going to play there anymore with so many different options available now - unless they are playing Manchester City.
If Real Madrid want more control on that side, Bernardo Silva can slot in. If they want playmaking, genuine presence on the wing and loads of technical ability, Diomande is the best option to have at the club - and will remain the starting option due to his price tag, presumably.
If Real Madrid want more defensive coverage as well as physical presence, Fede Valverde has shown to be an excellent player in that role.
Endrick would be amazing to have on the right if the team wants raw power, pace and directness. His shooting is also great, as he is a striker - another massive bonus.
Brahim's technical ability, along with the tireless engine that he has, would also help the club in moments where they need a lot more pressing from the wingers.
All in all, Real Madrid's depth chart is now insane, which is something that Real Madrid have needed for a very long time. It will be interesting to see how many of these five players actually get to play on the right wing.
