Real Madrid officially has a Vinicius Junior problem on their hands

When Kylian Mbappe finally arrived at Real Madrid last summer, it almost felt like the old school days of the Galacticos. Adding a player who is considered the best player in the world to a squad with the likes of Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham made many believe that Real Madrid would become the most unstoppable force in all of football.

And while, at times, Real have looked like the most fearsome team in Europe, for the most part, that is not necessarily the case. The star players have found it tough at times to gel with one another and that has led to inconsistency in the performances from the team.

And unfortunately for Real Madrid it seems one of the players who has become arguably the biggest issue among the star players is Vinicius Jr. The Brazilian had be the main man for the last three years but after Mbappe's arrival he lost a bit of his mojo and that has caused problems amongst the attackers.

With all that being said, it might be time for Real Madrid to finally come to grips with the fact that they have a Vinicius Jr problem on their hands and it could be a layered issue.

Real Madrid has a Vinicius Junior problem

One of the biggest issues that has plagued the Real Madrid attack starting last year is that Vinicius and Kylian Mbappe can't play together and that has been proven not just this past weekend, but in a number of matches dating back to last year.

The two want to occupy the same space on the left side of the attack and have gotten in each other's way at times, and that has been the biggest disruption to the front line.

Another problem with Vinicius that seems to have intensified since last season is his temperament with the officials and opposing players. We've all come to know the provocative side of Vinicius with his gestures and outbursts, and that seems to have become a major issue for the team recently.

We've seen several former players and coaches call out Vinicius for his antics and how they could be detrimental to the team as a whole, and yet he still seems not to be listening to the advice of others to turn it down. His outburst at Xabi Alonso for his El Clasico substitution, and they seemingly could be the last straw for the Brazilian.

Whether or not this will be the end of Vini's time at Real Madrid or not remains to be seen, but it seems like it could be. His current contract expires in 2027, and he has stalled talks with the club as this whole situation goes on. How it will end remains unknown. Saudi Arabia has had well-known interest in the Brazilian, and that could well be where he ends up should he leave.
