Roma have shown interest to sign Endrick from Real Madrid on a loan plus buy-option, according to ESPN Brasil.
Real Madrid, according to the report, have not given their green light to the move yet, and it remains to be seen what they decide on.
Endrick has been searching for minutes ever since he joined Real Madrid in 2024. Having him around through the 2024-25 season made him a much better player, as he became the top scorer of the Copa Del Rey, where Real Madrid reached the final.
The season after was more difficult for the Brazilian, and he ended up going on loan to Lyon with a simple goal: to make Brazil's World Cup squad. He was able to do that, and the player's qualities improved more than people would have thought, and he developed a soft spot for the right wing spot, which he improvised on really well.
Real Madrid probably wouldn't want to sell Endrick to Roma permanently
The biggest difference between that and Roma's reported offer is the purchase option. It is a move that, based on previous history, seems unlikely to be completed without changing certain parts about it. Endrick is one of the biggest talents in world football at the moment, and the purchase option would mean that the biggest club in the world would lose part of his rights for a fee that is bound to go up in the future, should they decide to keep him around.
Real Madrid know how important Endrick is. They also know how important playing time is for the Brazilian, so the ideal situation presumably would be for the player to go on loan, get some much-needed continuity, and then come back.
Who knows? Maybe Jose Mourinho has a role for him, and Endrick stays despite that after all. It would be the most ideal decision for all parties involved, provided Endrick gets his much-needed game time.
Either way, though, it just does not seem likely that Real Madrid would let Endrick go this easily. This is a club that has stuck on buy-back clauses and kept 50% rights of nearly every young player they have sold, so it makes no sense for them to then not have control over the future of the most important one out of all of them.
With Yan Diomande's arrival, it seems tough to find a way to get Endrick a starting spot, unless he really, really works hard and proves to the manager that he would be the better choice.
Even if that does not happen, it is not likely that Real Madrid would loan him to Roma in this deal if an offer comes through, not at this time.
