Real Madrid will replace Carlo Ancelotti with club legend next season

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is preparing for life without Carlo Ancelotti. In fact, he is preparing for the Italian's replacement next season.
Carlo Ancelotti has been the Real Madrid manager on two seperate occasions. His first stint at the club lasted for two seasons. He has already improved on this record within his second tenure at Real Madrid.
However, given Carlo Ancelotti's age, there are question marks surrounding how long he can commit to a job of this demand. While he has shown absolutely no signs of being "out of the loop", Real Madrid is a club which prides itself on its ability to build for the future.
So, Florentino Perez has already prepared for the post Carlo Ancelotti era.
Real Madrid will replace Carlo Ancelotti with club legend next season
According to a report by Spanish outlet Sport, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is already putting together the pieces to hire Xabi Alonso as the new Real Madrid manager next season.
Sport claims that Florentino Perez is disappointed with how Real Madrid has conducted the start to this season. He is concerned with the lack of spark caused by Kylian Mbappe's arrival and he believes Real Madrid's current form is jeopardising their chances of winning trophies this season.
Therefore, Florentino Perez has ordered Real Madrid to begin the process of hiring Xabi Alonso, calling an end to Carlo Ancelotti's time at Real Madrid.
Xabi Alonso is allowed to leave Bayer Leverkusen in June. The club legend is widely tipped as the natural successor for Carlo Ancelotti, after enduring a turbulent start to life at Bayer Leverkusen.
Under Alonso, Bayer Leverkusen went the entire 2023/24 season unbeaten in the Bundesliga. It was a remarkable achievement to knock Bayern Munich off the throne, let alone to do it without losing a single match.
Xabi Alonso is a young coach. It is because of his age that Xabi Alonso has formed a great relationship with his Leverkusen players, particularly the likes of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong.
Florentino Perez' concerns with Kylian Mbappe would surely be eased with Xabi Alonso. The Real Madrid club legend understands what it takes to win over the Bernabeu faithful. So, he could come in with a tailored development plan for Kylian Mbappe, surely unlocking the best out of the superstar.
It is also worth noting that Real Madrid has an alternative club legend lined up. Other reports suggest that Zinedine Zidane could return for his third stint with Real Madrid, if Carlo Ancelotti fails to turn thing around.
